197? Centurion Le Mans (retired)

Once my trusty grocery getting bike, the Centurion has since been put out to pasture. I wrapped the chain around the spokes a while back and it not only destroyed the rear derailleur, but it bent the rear dropouts pretty badly. It could probably be fixed, but I'm not sure it's worth the trouble.

Believe it or not, I bought the Centurion brand new in my second year of college. I rode the bike off and on through college and commuted on it for a few years after I moved back to Seattle. Then for a number of years the frame hung in my garage until I brought it back to life as a single speed upright grocery getter and then later added gears when I realized that single speeds are no good for carrying 25 lbs of groceries. The frame now hangs in the basement, sad and bent. But you never know, this bike has made a comeback before, it could happen again.
